Got Questions?

We're glad you're here.  We know as a first-time visitor you may be unsure about what to expect so we have answers to some common questions below.

What happens before the service starts?

While you are in a Bible study class your child will also be in an age graded class with caring teachers who will help your child learn about God.  Prior to the start of the message during the worship service, children 3 yrs - 2nd grade will leave to take part in Children's Church.

What happens if I arrive late?

Don't worry.  Our ushers will help you find a seat as quickly as possible. You can enter the sanctuary at any point in our service

What is the worship service like?

Worship services last about ninety minutes.  A worshipful blend of congregational singing  that features some of the great hymns of the church as well as newer, modern music enhances the experience.  Our pastor brings a Bible-based message in each service.

How are guests greeted?

Before worship our greeters and ushers will warmly welcome you to our church.  During the welcome portion of our service, our pastor or associate pastor will acknowledge and welcome our visitors.  He will provide information on how you can fill out a connect card to let the staff know more about you, and how to help and pray for you.  The connect card is in front of the pew and when completed, you can place it in the offering plate during that portion of the service.

Am I expected to give for the offering?

While we encourage the practice of tithing among our members, giving by our guests is optional.

What is the message like?

Pastor Brooks' messages are usually around 45 minutes long.  His style is expository preaching, letting the scriptures dictate the message. The goal is to faithfully convey what the Bible says, in its context, and help listeners understand and live by it.

What is the invitation time like?

At the end of the pastor's message he will give an invitation to anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to accept Jesus. He will also ask those who would like to become part of our church family to come forward. We sing a song during this time so that people can come to the front and talk to our pastor or one of our other ministers about their needs.
